Phlebotomist Job Summary

PhlebLab is seeking an experienced Phlebotomist to join our team in Harrisburg, PA, to provide in-home blood draw services for healthcare agency clients. The ideal candidate has practical phlebotomy experience and reliable transportation for traveling to client locations. This part-time position offers flexible hours, with collections scheduled in the mornings, early afternoons, or late evenings to ensure timely lab deliveries. Pay is approximately $25 per visit.

Phlebotomist Duties and Responsibilities

• Coordinate appointment timing with patients
• Travel to clients' homes, preparing all necessary equipment (needles, test tubes, blood vials, etc.)
• Verify patient identity in compliance with HIPAA guidelines
• Ensure patient comfort and proper positioning for blood draw
• Monitor and respond to any patient reactions during the procedure
• Educate patients on immediate aftercare
• Maintain a clean, sanitary environment and properly sterilize all supplies
• Deliver blood samples promptly to the lab

Phlebotomist Requirements and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Phlebotomy Technician certificate or license (preferred)
• Minimum of 6 months of phlebotomy experience required
• Reliable personal vehicle for travel to patient locations
• Knowledge of standard blood draw practices and procedures
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Flexible schedule with part-time availability, including mornings, early afternoons, or late evenings
