Title: Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist
Location: Wayne, PA
Schedule: Full-time; Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Facilitates communication between the patient and the provider during patient care:
o Collects and shares pertinent information with the provider.
o Receives and acts on directives from the provider. - Responsible for preparing patients for visits with the providers. Duties include but are not limited to, rooming patients, obtaining and documenting vitals, reviewing intake paperwork, pulling up radiology images, prepping injection materials, and accurately entering data into the EMR system.
- Scheduling Regenexx consultations and procedures.
- Counseling patients for the procedures.
- Calling possible Regenexx Candidates off of the KEAP website.
- Billing Regenexx corporate patients through Regenexx superbill website.
- Registering all scheduled Regenexx procedures through the Regenexx Registry site.
- Answering our billing office with any questions regarding the Regenexx self pay procedures.
- Ordering Regenexx supplies.
- Maintains exam room standards. Rooms should be restocked at the end of each day. Rooms and tables should be cleaned as needed during business hours and at the end of each day.
- Retrieves and responds to voicemails within 24 business hours and documents actions in the EMR system.
- Send laboratory tests as needed.
- Maintains the inventory of medical supplies and proper maintenance of medical equipment.
- Prints schedules on the morning of the date of service.
- Ensures patient receives education regarding medical treatment and therapies as indicated by the provider.
- Creates and promotes a positive patient experience.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) required
- One-two years of experience of drawing blood is preferred.
- High school diploma/GED required. Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant training program as defined by state regulations is required.
- Medical Assistant certification such as Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), National Health Career Association (NHA).
- BLS certification preferred.
- Experience with office medical procedures and treatments and knowledge of insurance, managed care operations, EMR, and scheduling software.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with physicians, staff members, patients, and the public and be capable of establishing good working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of patient confidentiality, state laws, HIPAA regulations, and medical records procedures.
- Requires strong computer skills, including the ability to work with medical software.
- Requires exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
