Phlebotomist Technician - PRN Job at NMC Health in Newton

We are currently seeking a Phlebotomist Technician (PRN) for our Medical Testing Department. In this role, you will collect and process specimen, order entry to the laboratory computer, medical necessity verification, screening and managing phone calls, receiving and processing requisitions, and receiving and expediting specimens, This individual functions as an ECG technician with primary responsibility for electrocardiograph file maintenance. In addition, collaborate with all patient and clinical staff in accordance to deliver excellent patient service, answer patient questions, act as a resource for patient information and strengthen the relationship between the patient and our entire medical facility.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• 1-year minimum working as a phlebotomist preferred

Knowledge, skills, and abilities:

• Training in phlebotomy or willingness to be trained on the job
• Possess basic computer operation skills
• Experience with department specific information systems is desirable
• Service-oriented team player with primary patient contact that functions as a phlebotomist utilizing universal precautions
  

Licensure and certifications:

• Certifications Phlebotomist is preferred
