Location: Clarksville, TN
Business Hours: Mon-Fri 7am-7pm, Sat 7am-3pm
Pay Range: $16-$18 per hour based on experience
Required Work Schedule:Saturdays 7am-3pm -AND- four other days throughout the week totaling 40 hours per week / 8 hour shifts on a Closing shift from 12pm-8:30pm

The ideal candidate must have at least 3 months of Phlebotomy/Medical Assistant experience with real arm sticks.

Job Summary
Freedom Plasma is seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team in Clarksville, TN. The Phlebotomist will be responsible for conducting venipuncture, ensuring donor safety, and monitoring the collection process for possible equipment errors or donor reactions. The ideal candidate must have at least 3 months of Phlebotomy/Medical Assistant experience with real arm sticks.
Essential Responsibilities
- Establish rapport with donors to ensure overall service satisfaction
- Conduct routine venipuncture for plasmapheresis and collect donor samples
- Respond and assist with donor reactions during the donation process
- Monitor collection equipment to facilitate the health and safety of donors
- Set up, disconnect, and operate the plasmapheresis machine, including troubleshooting and documentation
- Disconnect donors and dispose of all contaminated disposable equipment in a biohazard container
- Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of plasma auto pheresis machines
- Maintain equipment and work area cleanliness between donors
- Accurately document collection records
- Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations, SOPs, OSHA, CLIA, and cGMP
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 3 months of Phlebotomy/Medical Assistant experience with real arm sticks
- License or certification where required by the state
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage deadlines efficiently
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Physical Requirements
- Use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear
- Frequent leaning, bending, stooping, crouching, and reaching above the shoulders and below the knee
- Ability to sit for extended periods for up to four hours at a time
- Ability to lift, tug, and pull up to 50 pounds
- Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens
