About the Role:
As a Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative, you'll play a vital role in our healthcare operations. You'll be responsible for drawing blood samples from patients, preparing specimens for lab testing, and providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Interaction: Greet patients warmly, answer questions, and explain procedures clearly.
- Blood Draw: Perform accurate and efficient blood draws from patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations.
- Specimen Processing: Prepare and process blood samples for laboratory testing.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
- Compliance: Adhere to all safety and regulatory guidelines.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure smooth operations.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: 5+ years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric patients.
- Certification: Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in specific states).
- Skills: Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using electronic health records and laboratory information systems.
