ABOUT THE ROLE
IVX Health is seeking an experienced Vice President of Compliance / Chief Compliance Officer to lead our Compliance and Ethics Program to work out of our headquarters in
Brentwood, TN . As a key leader within the organization, you will be responsible for ensuring that IVX Health remains compliant with all applicable laws, regulations, and contractual obligations. You will drive compliance-related initiatives, policies, procedures, training, and communications while monitoring clinical, business, and revenue operations. Reporting directly to the SVP, General Counsel, and the Chair of the Compliance Committee, this role also serves as the primary liaison to the Board of Directors Compliance Committee.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Risk Management : Continuously identify compliance risks and vulnerabilities. Develop and implement corrective action plans to address problematic areas and mitigate future risks.
Compliance Risk Assessment : Lead the design and execution of the annual Compliance Risk Assessment, ensuring approval from the Compliance Committee.
Reporting : Provide regular updates to executive management and the Compliance Committee, including quarterly reports on the compliance program status, risk profiles, Ethics Line activity, and ongoing monitoring. Meet quarterly with the Compliance Committee to address compliance issues.
Compliance and Ethics Projects : Collaborate with executive management to plan and execute annual compliance projects and initiatives in line with risk assessments, Federal Sentencing Guidelines, OIG Guidance, Work Plans, Fraud Alerts, and best practices.
Code of Ethics : Maintain, review, and update IVX Health's Code of Ethics. Oversee the annual certification process for all employees, ensuring compliance with the Code.
Policy Development : Oversee the development, revision, and communication of key compliance policies and procedures to meet the company's evolving risk profile, including topics such as medical necessity, billing, coding, anti-kickback statutes, and federal false claims.
Data-Driven Compliance : Lead the development of data-driven processes that ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards, including patient care requirements.
Training Programs : Collaborate with Human Resources to design and deliver compliance and ethics training for all new hires, and annual training for all employees. Coordinate annual training for the Board of Directors.
Confidential Reporting : Maintain a confidential and anonymous reporting system for personnel to report potential violations of laws, policies, or the Code of Ethics.
Case Management : Implement and manage a system for tracking and reporting compliance and ethics cases, ensuring trends and significant matters are addressed in a timely manner.
Monitoring and Remediation : Oversee monitoring processes and remediation efforts for compliance risks and violations, including engaging external auditors, consultants, or legal counsel when necessary.
Industry Awareness : Stay current with healthcare compliance trends, regulatory changes, and best practices. Apply new knowledge to enhance the effectiveness of the compliance program.
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS
Deep understanding of healthcare laws and regulations : Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA, the Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark Law, the False Claims Act, and other state and federal healthcare laws.
Compliance Program Guidelines : Expertise in OIG guidance, Federal Sentencing Guidelines for Organizations, and fraud and abuse prevention strategies.
Leadership : Strong ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage stakeholders, and influence decision-makers across departments.
Effective Communication : Ability to clearly communicate complex compliance matters to the Board of Directors, executive management, and staff at all levels.
Collaboration : Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with other departments such as Legal, Human Resources, Clinical Operations, and Revenue Cycle Management.
Handling Sensitive Information : Demonstrated ability to manage confidential compliance and legal matters with discretion.
Industry Trends : Commitment to staying up to date with evolving healthcare regulations and compliance best practices.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATION, EDUCATION, LICENSURE, AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelors degree in a relevant field (e.g., healthcare administration, business, or law).
8+ years of experience in a senior compliance role within a healthcare organization.
Proven experience managing compliance in a multi-state, multi-provider healthcare organization.
Demonstrated success in implementing technology-driven compliance solutions.
