The primary responsibility of this position is to lead strategy development and execution to grow the Medevio business in the nitinol market segment. The incumbent must be able to effectively analyze market opportunities, define the product and technology roadmap, engage with customers and internal stakeholders, and, in close partnership with the Sales, R&D, and Operations teams, lead all aspects of the product portfolio throughout its entire lifecycle. The following challenges await you: Set the long-term vision and lead the strategy development and execution for the portfolio. Routinely scan the market in order to identify market opportunities, including M&A, alliances, and licensing; to gain insights into customer needs; and to understand competitive dynamics. Define the product portfolio roadmap that accounts for, and integrates market trends, customer needs and financial objectives. Develop and communicate a formal business plan for the portfolio, including specific investments, make or buy decisions and resource plan. Create business cases for new opportunities including defining the market and customer needs, developing the financial model and analyzing data to quantify the sales and profit, value proposition, and the strategic fit. Ensure the profitability of the portfolio, including developing the price of the product, establishing and managing costs and margin targets, taking pricing actions, and executing product pruning. Partner with the sales organization to develop and implement the go-to-market strategy, including identification of target markets and customers. Ensure the commercial success of product portfolio in all phases of its products lifecycle from concept to end of life. Create product capability and technology roadmap through strong collaboration with Applications Management, R&D, and Operations. Implement efficient processes that ensure alignment between Sales, R&D, and Operations. Define project and platform development prioritization and redirect (as needed) R&D activities to ensure timely execution of customer projects. Collect and interpret voice of the customer (VOC) in order to define long-term customer needs. Partner with Marketing to lead and implement promotion activities. Other duties may be assigned as required. Your profile: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Marketing, or Business required; MBA or advanced degree preferred. A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, including the medical device manufacturing industry required. Demonstrated consistent growth in roles ideally in medical B2B organizations. Demonstrated understanding of specified market or product segment. Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to perform strategic analysis, conduct strategic planning, build portfolio strategy, and to translate complex concepts into actionable plans. Demonstrated ability to develop strong cross-functional relationships and partnerships and to influence across the organization without having direct authority.
