$68,640 annually Summary/Objective The Quality Director is responsible for the development, implementation, and strict adherence to the ANCORP Quality Control Program. The focus of this role is to develop and/or review standards, policies, and procedures for all functions and departments involved with or related to the production of all products. The Quality Control Program must be consistent with established quality system standards while ensuring continuous improvement. Essential Functions Review and resolve quality problems/concerns with vendors, customers, quality personnel, and any personnel related to production. Coordinates and assists with vendor inspections. Periodically inspect completed quality control checklists, forms, and other documents; randomly inspects and verifies quality control checks for conformance to prescribed standards. Schedules and performs quality audits and reports findings to senior management. Develops corrective action plan and ensures timely resolution of findings. Prepares product and process quality reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. Establishes and maintains the quality system to ensure ANCORP facilities, equipment, personnel, methods, processes, and procedures conform to both internal guidelines and regulatory standards. Regularly review the company Quality Manual and updates as necessary. Communicates any changes to personnel. Work with cross-departmental teams and leadership to deliver high quality products on time. Assures quality products and processes by establishing and enforcing quality standards and testing materials and products. Implements in-process product inspection standards by studying manufacturing methods and devising testing methods and procedures. Institutes rework standards by devising inspection and physical testing methods and procedures. Analyzes statistical data. Oversees inspection and inspection equipment. Responds to customer complaints regarding quality of products. Resolves quality issues with suppliers and subcontractors. Initiates quality control objectives to maximize product reliability and minimize costs. Assists in recruitment, training, coaching, counseling, evaluation of employees’ performance. Recommends or initiates promotions, transfers, and disciplinary actions. Completes department operations by developing schedules; assigning and monitoring work; gathering resources; implementing productivity standards; resolving department operations problems; implements new department procedures, work instructions and forms. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Management, or Engineering. Degree may be substituted by ASQ Certification and/or proven, relevant work experience. Minimum 5 years of experience in quality assurance in manufacturing or engineering. Proven leadership experience required. Advanced knowledge and understanding of quality management procedures and systems required. Additional Preferred Experience: Visual and/or Epicor ERP system. Monitored and developed quality compliance. Familiarity with Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Quality at the Source, etc. Technical writing and document control coordination. ISO 9000:2015 Skills and Competencies Outstanding communication and presentation skills at all levels within an organization. In-depth knowledge of quality inspection techniques. Leadership, supervision, and delegation. Teamwork. Project Management. Problem Solving. Analytic skills. Must be able to read and write. Must be proficient in the English language. Strong computer and Microsoft programs skills. Advanced knowledge of technical drawings. Work is generally performed in an office environment with controlled heating and air, with standard office equipment available. The performance of this position may occasionally require exposure to the manufacturing areas, which may require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields and hearing protection. Supervisory Responsibilities This position manages all employees of the department and is responsible for leadership and hiring of new employees, transfers, promotions, salary actions, terminations, performance management, and communicating and enforcing organizational standards, rules, and policies.
