Role Summary:

This role as Senior Program Manager Lead plays a key role in supervising and organizing a variety of interconnected projects within a company to guarantee that they are in line with CARIAD's long-term goals. This position involves overseeing the execution of business and IT programs from start to finish, spearheading strategic projects, and making certain that all projects within the program are completed on schedule, within the defined scope, and within the allocated budget. This role will be responsible for managing cross-functional initiatives that optimize the use of data and analytics across the organization. It will play a pivotal role in aligning business intelligence strategies with corporate objectives, driving innovation, and ensuring that our teams have access to actionable insights that inform decision-making.

Role Responsibilities:

Program Management

Define program scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.

Oversee the execution of multiple projects within the business services org, ensuring they are aligned with program goals and objectives

Coordinate cross-functional teams, manage project dependencies, and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise

Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget, adhering to quality standards

Act as the primary point of contact for all program-related communications with internal and external stakeholders

Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior leadership, project managers, and external partners

Provide regular updates on program progress, risks, and issues, and ensure stakeholder expectations are managed effectively

Project Management

Ensure accurate forecasting, budgeting and financial management is conducted for each project.

Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, make tradeoffs and balance the business needs versus technical constraints.

Provide oversight, guidance and remediation for troubled projects and identify, when possible, the conditions that require remedy to prevent a project from becoming troubled

Data & Analytics

Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure program success and effectiveness

Prepare and deliver program performance reports, highlighting achievements, challenges, and areas for improvement

Conduct post-program reviews and lessons learned sessions to capture insights and improve future program execution

Lead the adoption of new BI tools and processes across the organization, ensuring smooth transitions and adequate training for teams

General Skills:

Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and guide team members

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders at all levels

Experience communicating with executives both written and verbal (VP++)

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions and resolve issues that arise during program execution

Ability to manage budgets, track financial performance, and ensure cost control

Experience in leading cross-functional virtual teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously

Strong data analysis skills; ability to run and synthesize data in order to make on-point business decisions

Required Specialized Skills:

Backlog planning and prioritization experience

Proficiency in program management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall)

Familiarity with project management and enterprise software tools and methods

Experience implementing, managing, and overseeing OKRs

Experience with engineering IT systems, including system architecture, software development life cycles, and integration of technical solutions

Have expertise in BI tools, processes, and methodologies, ensuring the effective use of data visualization, reporting, and analytics tools

Desired Skills:

Program Management Professional (PgMP) certification is a plus

Experience in transformation and/or change management

Auto industry experience a plus

Understanding of engineering IT systems and processes

Workplace Flexibility:

Full time position in Redmond or Mountain View with “Hybrid” work pattern

Years of Relevant Experience:

10+ relevant years in program or project management, business strategy, organizational development, and process improvement in a highly data-driven environment within industries like tech, e-commerce, finance, or healthcare

Required Education:

Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, engineering, IT, or relevant experience in an associated area

Desired Education:

Master’s degree in business, communications, engineering, or IT

Certification in Project Management field

Certification(s) Preferred: PMI, CSM/CSPO

Compensation

Salary range is dependent on factors such as geographical differentials, credentials or certifications, industry-based experience, qualification and training. The salary range for this Hybrid position is $136,300 - 208,000.
