Adyen is looking for a structured, proactive and collaborative senior content writer. This role will work from our San Francisco office. The senior content writer role is focused on producing content to meet Adyen’s business and marketing objectives, in line with brand goals. You will respond to a range of briefs while applying a strong understanding of Adyen’s value proposition, marketing strategy and brand to meet measurable outcomes. As a senior content writer, you often take on more complex projects and ensure to mentor and coach your fellow writers. The ideal candidate is experienced in responding to briefs, producing compelling content against a range of objectives, and working collaboratively with stakeholders. You are proficient in long-form and short-form writing with a good grasp of SEO, specializing in at least one of the three. This role requires strong project management skills. What you’ll do Drive the production and maintenance of any asset by following established processes, formats, guidelines and templates, minimizing the need for reviews and iterations. Demonstrate a strong grasp of long-form, short-form and SEO writing, with a deep specialism within one. Write copy for both short-form and long-form formats (e.g., blogs, reports, events, ad copy, landing pages, scripts). Apply SEO best practices to drive targeted traffic to our site. Be on-the-ground for case studies and shoots that involve content creation. Proficient in aligning content initiatives with commercial goals and the larger content strategy. Demonstrates a strong understanding of business, marketing and brand goals when responding to a brief. Partner with internal and external stakeholders and design partners from kickoff to delivery – being diligent with details and deadlines. Set an example for how to apply project management techniques to align teams, manage timelines, and ensure smooth execution of content projects. Anticipates risks and adjusts plans accordingly independently. Research and curate background information, data, audience insights, and newsworthy information to be used in our content. Conduct interviews with internal and external stakeholders to inform content. Set an example for how to apply clear goals and analyze the impact of the content, applying insights and digital marketing content best practices. Create and update writing templates and guidelines that can be used across studios, implementing new ways to work more efficiently. Mentor writers across studios to ensure writing is at the highest quality. What you are: Bonus:

You have experience in the fintech industry and a solid understanding of its key trends, challenges, and audience, making you well-suited to craft impactful content. You have 8+ years of professional experience writing. You are a storyteller: curious and keen to discern the motivations, behaviors, and preferences of our audiences. You have an impeccable eye for detail and ability to approach tasks with a journalistic attitude to find the angles and stories that matter. You have a good understanding of what it means to write for digital channels: blending user experience and channel best practices, and how they fit into the bigger picture of content marketing. You have the ability to self-start, stick to deadlines, and drive projects forward – while being open and comfortable to iteration and feedback. You have full professional proficiency (written and verbal) in English. Some domestic and international travel is required.
