We are offering an opportunity for an Accounting Manager to join our client's team in South Jersey. This role is centered around managing all aspects of accounting operations, analyzing financial statements, and implementing new or amended accounting systems. The Accounting Manager will also supervise the accounting team and ensure efficient performance and project management.


Key responsibilities:

  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Develop and present financial reports to ownership and executives as needed.
  • Manage the general ledger, including journal entries, reconciliations, and adjustments.
  • Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and other issues. Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
  • Manage and execute month-end and year-end close process.
  • Coordinate more complex accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting and finance team or with other departments.
  • Contribute to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures.
  • Perform annual audits and provide recommendations for improving procedures and systems for initiating corrective actions.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.


The ideal Accounting Manager candidate should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education. CPA preferred.


Other requirements for the Accounting Manager position include and are not limited to:

  • 5+ years experience, 3+ years experience in management or executive level exposure
  • Construction industry experience
  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Experience with accounting software, ERP systems, and databases.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Attention to detail and an ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
