Accounting Director Job at Robert Half in Fort Washington

Financial services company seeks an Accounting Director with both tax and financial statement preparation experience. This Accounting Director will conduct variance analysis and provide insights into financial performance, assist with management consulting, oversee the month end close process, manage the preparation of business tax returns, monitor expense accruals, ensure compliance with internal firm policies, maintain & resolve general ledger discrepancies, create solutions for process improvement, monitor cash flow, manage journal entry tracking, and assist with the financial planning process. If you hold a high level of financial modeling skills, have strong technical accounting abilities, and can safeguard company assets, this may be the role for you!

What you get to do everyday

·      Oversee month-end/year-end close process

·      Budgeting & Forecasting

·      Provide profit and loss reporting

·      Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation

·      Provide financial analysis

·      Manage revenue recognition

·      Recommend profitable initiatives 

·      Provide management with monthly reports

·      Ensure compliance with external/internal controls

The ideal Accounting Director will have a Bachelors degree in Finance.

Other requirements for the Accounting Director role include and are not limited to:

·      5+ years of public accounting experience

·      Proven GAAP and tax knowledge

·      Strong written and verbal communication skills

·      Accounting Software knowledge (QuickBooks)

·      Advanced Excel skills
