We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Clerk in the agriculture industry, based in Salinas, California. As an Accounting Clerk, your primary role will be to manage both accounts payable and receivable tasks, maintain financial records, and contribute to the company's financial operations.

Responsibilities
• Handle invoice processing, payments, expense reports, and deposits linked to accounts payable and receivable
• Keep precise records and files associated with account payables and receivables
• Collaborate with operations to ensure correct accounting of purchases and sales
• Play an active part in the finance team to implement financial policies, contribute in budgeting processes, and aid in cash flow management
• Execute regular audits of payable and receivable accounts to ensure compliance with policies and protocols
• Prepare bank deposits, perform bank reconciliations, and maintain all transaction records
• Carry out reconciliations of accounts to verify their accuracy
• Assist in the monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing processes and prepare relevant reports• Minimum of 1 year experience in an Accounting Clerk role or similar position.
• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is required.
• Demonstrated experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is essential.
• Must possess skills in Billing and Data Entry.
• Experience with Invoice Processing is a must.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
• Knowledge of Oracle system is a plus.
• Experience with QuickBooks software is desirable.
• Familiarity with SAP is an added advantage.
• Prior work experience in the Agriculture industry is beneficial.
