LHH Recruitment Solutions is collaborating with a client in the Kansas City Metro area to fill an urgent need for an Interim Accounting Manager. This is a contract position designed to provide immediate support to the clients team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review Journal Entries: Ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and applicable accounting standards.

  • Posting Journal Entries: Timely and accurate posting of journal entries to the general ledger.

  • Hitting Hard Deadlines: Manage workload to meet strict deadlines, especially during month-end and year-end close.

  • Reconciliations: Perform and review account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.

  • Compliance and Audit: Oversee compliance with internal controls and assist with external audit requirements.

  • SOX Knowledge and Experience: Apply Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) knowledge to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Reporting: Jump in with reports, providing timely and accurate financial information to management.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. Experience with Great Plains software is highly desirable.

  • Attributes: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA certification is a plus.

  • Experience with SOX compliance and internal controls.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Experience from Public Accounting a Plus

Pay: $45 - $55/HR



Pay Details: $45.00 to $55.00 per hour
