We are in search of a Technical Accounting Manager to join our team in the IT Software industry, based in Pleasanton, California. The chosen candidate will play a crucial role in managing the technical aspects of our company's financial reporting, interpreting and applying accounting standards, and providing guidance on complex accounting issues. This role is a contract to hire employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Stay informed about evolving accounting standards and regulatory changes and interpret their impact on the company.
• Conduct comprehensive research on complex accounting issues and provide recommendations for the appropriate accounting treatment.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies to ensure compliance with accounting standards and best practices.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and disclosures in accordance with accounting standards. Review and approve financial reports for accuracy and compliance.
• Provide technical guidance and training on accounting matters to the finance and accounting teams.
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors during financial audits, providing documentation and explanations for accounting treatment and disclosure matters.
• Evaluate the accounting implications of mergers, acquisitions, and other business transactions. Ensure compliance with acquisition-related accounting standards.
• Identify and assess accounting-related risks and recommend strategies to mitigate these risks.
• Ensure that the organization complies with all relevant accounting regulations.• Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role within IT Software industry
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Comprehensive knowledge of Accounting Functions
• Experience in Auditing procedures and practices
• Familiarity with ASC 606 and its application in the tech industry
• Proven experience in Mergers & Acquisitions (M& A) within the IT sector
• Must hold a relevant degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
