We are offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Accounting Manager/Supervisor in New Ulm, Minnesota. As an integral part of our team, your role will encompass a variety of responsibilities in managing the overall accounting operations and financial reporting, ensuring operational efficiency and financial strength.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and maintain general ledgers, ensuring accurate financial statement reporting
• Direct and manage all facets of the finance and accounting functions, including payroll and budget process
• Deliver comprehensive financial updates to senior managers through the evaluation, analysis, and reporting of relevant financial information
• Establish and implement financial and operating benchmarks, budgets, and monthly and annual reporting standards
• Collaborate with the finance team to ensure the timely and accurate preparation of monthly board reports and the annual budget
• Coordinate with external accountants for the preparation of annual financial reports in accordance with GAAP and annual tax returns
• Facilitate continual improvement and development of the budgeting process, guiding leadership and departmental managers on financial issues impacting their budgets
• Build and maintain detail-oriented relationships with management, staff, customers, and vendors to effectively achieve goals and ensure compliance with company and regulatory policies and procedures
• Oversee and manage external financial institution and insurance broker relationships, including risk management and annual renewals
• Evaluate and manage capital and funding plans, offering guidance based on current and future organizational goals
• Implement effective payroll process improvements, focusing on efficiency and effectiveness
• Develop and train the accounting team, fostering a trusting and productive environment
• Ensure consistent accounting policies, practices, and procedures across all programs, adhering to regulatory reporting standards and keeping updated with proposed legislation.• A minimum of 5 years experience in an accounting supervision or management role.
• Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems.
• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services.
• Experience in using BlackLine.
• Proficiency in Concur.
• Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning.
• Ability to effectively manage all accounting functions.
• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP).
• Experience in managing Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Proven experience in auditing.
• Familiarity with billing functions.
• Experience in performing month end close activities.
• Experience in conducting annual inventory.
• Proficiency in managing General Ledger.
