Accounting Systems Analyst

Required Skills & Experience

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business or equivalent - Demonstrated experience assisting in an ERP implementation and maintenance of the ERP system (data migration, vendor management, ERP debugging, root cause analysis, and troubleshooting) - 3+ years of experience with an ERP system (SAP, Oracle, Concur, Microsoft Dynamics 365 or equivalent) - 2+ years of experience creating reports and dashboards in PowerBi utilizing AP and Accounting data - Familiarity with general accounting and accounts payable principles including reconciliation, cash flow, general ledger, and electronic payments - Strong SQL Experience - Advanced Excel skills including Vlookups and Pivot Tables in Excel

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Double Bachelor's degree in an IT and Accounting related field

- Familiarity with US GAAP Accounting principles

- Previous experience with automating an accounts payable system

Job Description

Insight Global is hiring for an Accounting Systems Analyst to join the accounting department of one of our energy investment clients. This is a full time opportunity, based on a hybrid-onsite work schedule in East Brunswick, NJ. When first joining the team, the main priority of the selected candidate will be to support the implementation of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O platform as it pertains to the accounting department. This position is hands on and over time, the priority of this role will gear towards administration, troubleshooting and enhancement of the system for best practices. Responsibilities in this position include, but are not limited to: - AP and Accounting related data migration from previous platforms to the new ERP system - Assist in general ledger and Accounts Payable reconciliations, work flows and payment cycles - Utilization of AP/Accounting data to create templates, reports and dashboards in PowerBI - Creation of user manuals and providing training to the user base as it gets up and running In this position, the Accounting Systems Analyst must be an individual who is highly analytical, attentive to detail, collaborative, communicative and is able to effectively multitask on various high priority tasks.
