Senior Accounting Specialist Job at LHH Recruitment Solutions in Kernersville

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accounting Specialist to join our client’s team in the Triad area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in full cycle accounting and advanced Excel skills. This role involves managing all aspects of the accounting cycle, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform full cycle accounting processes

• Prepare and analyze financial statements

• Verify invoices and research discrepancies

• Ad hoc analysis

• Process accounts payable checks weekly

• Post journal entries to the general ledger

• Perform account reconciliations and month-end close activities

• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies

• Utilize advanced Excel functions for financial analysis and reporting

 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in full cycle accounting

• Proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions

• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
