Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Accounting Manager to join our dynamic finance team, reporting directly to the CFO. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting principles and practices, with a focus on corporate finance and general ledger accounting. This role is essential for ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting and compliance with regulatory standards. The Accounting Manager will also play a key role in mentoring junior staff and contributing to the overall financial strategy of the organization.
Duties
- Directly involved in all financial activities of the company.
- Ownership and oversee the preparation, review of journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.and compliance with accounting standards.
- Manage day-to-day accounting.
- Support the executive team in ad-hoc projects including providing financial analyses.
- Direct involvement and oversight of all billing, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger and payroll accounting functions..
- Collaborate with Sales and Operations.
- Coordinate Federal, State and Local Filings including business tax , property taxes and 1099s.
- Mentor and develop junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Coordinate business insurance renewals with services providers.
- Assist with annual budgeting.
- Manage annual financial statement audit.
- Maintain strong working relationships with outside auditors and tax accountants.
- Manage annual financial statement audit.
- Help streamline operational processes to reduce risk and improve efficiencies.
Experience
- 5+ years with increasing accounting responsibility Excellent communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Accounting system experience (Acumatica, Oracle, SAP, etc)
- Excellent communication skills..
- Experience in the digital marketing industry is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting: CPA is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership abilities with experience in mentoring team members.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Organized, detail oriented and ability to multitask.
- Experience with managing/supervising a team.
