Tri-State Equipment Company is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented accounting intern (3rd or 4th year) to join our team. There is a lot of exciting growth and update going on with our accounting and finance area, and the intern will be in the thick of it. This is a fantastic opportunity to apply your classroom knowledge to practical accounting tasks and gain valuable experience in a professional setting.

What You'll Do:

• Assist with accounts receivable processes, including invoicing clients, tracking payments, and resolving discrepancies.
• Learn about basic cost accounting concepts and perform job costing tasks.
• Work on credit card reconciliations and monthly expense reporting.
• Gain hands-on experience with accounting software like QuickBooks and NetSuite.
• Prepare invoices from sales orders and enter vendor bills.
• Participate in vendor setup and assist with bi-weekly vendor payments.
• Fixed asset entry and tracking.
• Project work for acquisitions.
• Assist with generating reports as needed.

What We're Looking For:

• Currently enrolled in a 3rd or 4th year accounting program at an accredited college or university (previous internship experience is a plus).
• Strong understanding of accounting principles (e.g., debits, credits, general ledger).
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
• Ability to learn new skills quickly and work independently with close supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
