Adriana's Insurance is looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to support our finance department in managing our daily accounting operations. This role involves performing a variety of accounting duties, including maintaining financial records, assisting in the preparation of financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoicing and payment processing.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and ledgers.
- Prepare and reconcile monthly bank statements.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and budgets.
- Process payroll and ensure compliance with payroll regulations.
- Support the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Respond to requests for information from internal and external stakeholders.
- Participate in audits and assist with the documentation required.
- Collaborate with team members on various accounting projects.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or other related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred, but nor required)
- 1-2 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently as well as with a team
- Must be bilingual (Spanish)
