Southern Home INC is hiring: Accounting Manager in Mobile

We are seeking an Experienced  Accounting Manager! The primary role of an Accounting Manager is to support the CFO in the daily operations of the accounting department, reviewing financial reports, and assisting in monthly balance sheet reconciliations. This role will create a positive work environment by leading, training, and working alongside accounting associates.

Responsibilities:

• Assists the CFO in the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, ensuring smooth functioning and effective collaboration
• Thoroughly reviews financial reports, ensuring accuracy and identifying any discrepancies or irregularities
• Assists in the coordination and preparation of weekly and monthly forecasts, contributing to accurate financial projections and planning
• Supports the month-end closing process, collaborating with the finance team to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
• Oversee the flow of cash and financial investments
• Evaluate reporting systems and collection procedures
• Engages in open, collaborative relationships with associates, promoting teamwork, and creating a supportive work environment

Qualifications:

• Degree in Accounting, General Business or Finance preferred
• Previous experience in General Ledger, Financial Statements, and other related aspects of accounting
• Strong leadership qualities
• Ability to work under pressure
