Position Summary:
In this Manager of Accounting position, you will be responsible for leading daily operations such as preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations, assisting with regulatory reporting, and liaising for the annual audit and monthly financial reporting. Essential Job Functions:
- Manage the month-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial results for both management and US GAAP reporting
- Monthly variance analysis of financial statements
- Help drive compliance with balance sheet reconciliation requirements across the organization
- Manage the reconciliation and elimination of intercompany balances
- Assist in the strengthening of the Company’s control framework and promote and enforce a strong internal control environment
- Provide accounting guidance and support to the business unit finance functions
- Assist in the management of the Company’s tax provision and compliance processes to ensure appropriate accounting for income taxes per GAAP and compliance with all federal and state/local tax requirements
- Assist in the drafting of technical accounting memos as necessary
- Serve as a main point of contact for the Company’s external auditors
- Assist in overseeing and supervising the Accounting team, including providing appropriate feedback to support professional development
Education/License Requirements:
- BA/BS in Accounting
- CPA preferred
General Experience Requirements:
- 7+ years of increasing responsibilities in an accounting/financial reporting role, including public accounting experience
Minimum Qualifications:
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office tools
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and skill/aptitude
- Well-organized with attention to details
- Ability to work autonomously to meet deadlines; self-starter; resourceful
- Strong written and verbal communication skills – ability to express thoughts and explain/document accounting treatment for transactions clearly and concisely
- ERP systems experience (e.g., Oracle, SAP, etc.)
Bonus Qualifications:
- Foreign currency translation experience
- Public Accounting experience
- MBA
- CPA preferred
