Accounting Analyst

Key Responsibilities of the Accounting Analyst:
- Account Reconciliation: Reconcile general ledger accounts, investigate discrepancies, and resolve issues promptly.
- Budgeting & Forecasting Support: Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts by gathering data, analyzing trends, and providing detailed insights to department heads.
- Cost Allocation & Revenue Cycle Support: Analyze and allocate costs related to patient services, support the revenue cycle team in identifying areas for improvement, and assist with reimbursement reporting.
- Audit Preparation: Support internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation and providing responses to audit inquiries.
- Financial Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounting function, focusing on efficiency and accuracy. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, such as Medicare and Medicaid reporting, and assist in maintaining financial integrity and transparency.
- Data Management & Reporting Systems: Utilize ERP and financial reporting systems to analyze financial data, ensuring system accuracy and assisting with software implementations or upgrades as needed.
Qualifications of the Accounting Analyst:
- Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: 1-2 years of accounting experience.
- Analytical Skills: Strong attention to detail, with the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations.
