Flix Brewhouse, Round Rock, TX, United States
Job Description
Accounting Manager
Location: Flix Brewhouse, hybrid
Benefits: BCBS health insurance, 16 PTO/holiday days per year, 401(k) with generous safe harbor company match, free movies and food and beverage discounts.
Opportunity Synopsis: Flix Brewhouse is America’s Cinema Brewery, the only dine-in movie theater with its own award-winning microbrewery in every location. With 10 locations and 87 screens across the heartland of America, the Flix corporate support center offers a fast-paced achievement-oriented culture based on guests first, respectful workplaces, an expectation of excellence, and teamwork. We’re big enough to provide multiple paths for your professional growth, and small enough that the Accounting Manager will have high visibility with top management and the opportunity to play a key role in the Accounting & Finance department.
Job Description: A Day in the life of the Accounting Manager is never boring. You’ll be working in partnership with the Director of Finance on a daily basis either assisting in financial reporting, external audit preparation or helping oversee the daily transaction processing tasks of the various accounting functions. There is plenty of opportunity for learning and development and advancement. Primary and secondary responsibility areas will be defined so that you are abundantly challenged and never bored, but not overwhelmed.
Your Qualifications: You’ll need strong technical skills in GAAP accounting (which we test for in the interview process), intermediate to advanced Excel skills (which we also test for) and 3-5 years of experience in a financial accounting role and/or demonstrated past success in simultaneously managing multiple transaction processing areas for a multi-unit retail, restaurant, or entertainment concept. We run on Vista Cinema for Box Office Sales, and Toast for our F&B POS, Restaurant 365 for inventory control, back-office processing and financial reporting, and ADP for payroll and HR.
Of course, you’ll demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with the staff, your peers, management team members at the theaters and top management as well as with vendors, lenders, government employees and our investors.
