Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Controller to oversee our accounting operations and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a process mentality, experience establishing financial processes and a strategic mindset to help drive financial performance. Experience with PE backed companies and M&A integration is a big positive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accounting Management: Oversee all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
- Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and reports in compliance with GAAP.
- Audit: Coordinate and manage internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow and financial health, optimizing working capital and liquidity.
- Internal Controls: Establish and maintain internal controls in compliance with SOX.
- Policy Development: Implement and enforce accounting policies and procedures.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and tax requirements.
- Financial Analysis: Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
- M&A Integration: Integrate acquisitions into accounting policy, procedure and systems. Create an integration playbook to streamline the integration process and reduce integration timeline.
- Team Leadership: Manage and develop the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial regulations.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Netsuite, Sage, Dynamics, or similar).
- Excellent analytical, process and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
