POSITION OVERVIEW:

Reporting to the Corporate Controller, this position is responsible for the related Staff Performance and the accomplishment of departmental responsibilities in accordance with the Organizations and Departments Policies and Procedures to meet company and regulatory requirements. Assists in preparing and coordinating the General Ledger for assigned entities, participates in the Budget Process, participates in Year End Audits, and gathers information required and facilitates department reporting and variance analysis.

KEY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Supervise and/or manage general ledger accounting functions
  • Maintain the chart of accounts
  • Prepare and post monthly entries
  • Close-out accrued balance sheet accounts
  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Prepare audit schedules and work with external auditors
  • Produce ad hoc analysis reports and projects as requested
  • Participate in the preparation of annual budgets
  • Research with regard to appropriately recording accounting transactions with document support
  • Develop staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships.
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisors.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting,
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience required
  • Non- Profit experience a plus
  • Knowledge of U.S. GAAP
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Experience with Fund-Ez and Sage Fixed Asset a plus
