What You'll Do:
As the Accounting Manager, you are responsible for managing the finance and administrative side of the business that enables the team to realize its mission statement of We work relentlessly to deliver the best rental experience our customers have ever had. These functions include the financial, tax and accounting operations of the company: overseeing financial and tax reporting, ensuring the retention of appropriate accounting and tax documentation, maintaining and updating internal controls and accounting processes, as well as supporting budgeting and cash forecasting procedures. The Accounting Manager strives to enhance the reliability of the company's reported financial results and ensures that reported results comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Aerzen Group Accounting Policies, as well as International, United States, and State regulations. The Accounting Manager serves as the Compliance Champion and helps to administer the Aerzen Group Compliance Management system locally.
- Directs Team Members in: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Application, Invoicing, Sales Tax Return filing, as well as monthly and annual reporting to: our Parent Company, Banks, PL5 Executive management (CEO and Manager Finance & Control), and other Third Parties as required.
- Manage the timely completion of the month-end close and support annual audit process. Reviews and approves all general ledger entries, accruals, reconciliations, and supporting work papers. Serves as the primary point of contact for questions from our external auditors, internal Controlling Department at Aerzen Germany, as well as internal stakeholders within Aerzen USA Corp.
- Guides financial decisions and protects company assets by monitoring and enforcing policies and procedures.
- Optimizes the company’s accounting procedures and the efficiency of the Accounting Department Staff through process and ERP improvements.
- Achieves budget and cash flow objectives by appropriately scheduling expenditures, analyzing and communicating variances to management, and initiating corrective actions.
- Supports the Chief Financial Officer in the preparation of budgets and cash forecasts. Strives to understand the nature and timing of the company’s income, expenses, and cash flows to make reasonable estimates based upon available information.
- Ensures compliance with International, Federal, State, and Local requirements by maintaining complete and appropriate documentation. Files all tax returns and financial reports timely and accurately. Advises management on needed actions to address compliance issues.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops. Reviews professional publications. Establishes and maintains professional networks. Participates in professional societies.
- Protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.
- Ensures proper control of inventory and manages an effective inventory control mechanism.

Requirements:Education: A Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or technical school) Required, Field of Study: Business/Finance/Accounting
Experience: Minimum five (5) years of progressive experience in Accounting or Finance and leadership; preferably within a rental, manufacturing, engineering, or related industry.
Certification(s): CPA preferred.
Functional Skills: Excellent planning, prioritization, organization, and execution skills; high attention to details and ability to analyze large amounts of data; analytical and logical thinker who can problem-solve and implement solutions, excellent with time management.
Technology Aptitude/Skills: Able to create, use, navigate and perform reports at an Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Ability to use and navigate ERP system software (Dynamics 365 Business Central Experience a plus), HRIS system software, CRM system software and other finance software or applications.
Ability to create and navigate department related items at an intermediate level of knowledge in Navision; customer cards, vendor cards, Invoicing, G/L related, banking, payment processing, & finance related entries.
Language Skills: Advanced verbal and written communication skills; able to present to groups and educate/train others.
