Job Description

This is an entry level position in our dealership accounting department that provides lots of variety. It's a perfect opportunity to learn dealership accounting from an experienced staff.
The Accounting Clerk is responsible for processing deals, maintaining schedules, receipting payments and general bookkeeping duties. To be successful, the ideal candidate should be able to learn at a fast pace and have a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Job Responsibilities:
- Process deals on a daily basis, verifying that all required documents are included. Verify gross profit and calculate commissions.
- Maintain accounting schedules such as inventory and taxes.
- Accounts Receivable - receipt payments from customers, monitor aging and collect on past due accounts.
- Print and send accounts receivable statements.
- Basic reconciling.
- Create and maintain basic spreadsheets.
- Accurate and fast data input into the general ledger, such as new vehicle invoices.
- Receptionist duties such as answering phone calls and greeting customers.
- General office duties and administration as assigned.
Requirements:
- Required education: High School Diploma/GED required.
- Understanding of accounting fundamentals and best practices.
Other Skills/Abilities:
- Working knowledge of computer software programs including: Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Ability to understand and comply with strict privacy and sensitivity of confidential matters.
- Strong organizational skills and a keen ability to prioritize to effectively adhere to and meet deadlines.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task with excellent attention to detail.
- Team player with strong work ethic.
Rate of Pay: $19.00 - $20.00
Hours: Monday - Friday 9-6
