Accounting Director

Job Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Developing an in -depth knowledge of accepted accounting principles and bookkeeping for QuickBooks.
  • Posting to all accounts in an accurate and timely fashion while recording, tracking, and reporting on customer accounts and specific jobs in QuickBooks.
  • Closing the books each month and at years end after reconciling all balance sheet accounts.
  • Producing financial statements and other operating reports no later than 20 working days after the months end close and report on overdue customer receivables and current company payables.
  • Becoming thoroughly familiar with the computer hardware and software for operations in the company and skilled in its use and application.
  • Collecting data related to collections on all accounts receivable and recording it in a timely manner.
  • Aiding in the review of invoices before they are mailed out to the client.
  • Contacting delinquent accounts and requesting payment with the assistance of the sales team and or the CFO and recording all collection attempts into a permanent file or log.
  • Presenting delinquent accounts over 30 days to the CFO for his/her review and turning the delinquent accounts over to a collection professional at the CFO's direction. File small claims according to local legal procedures.
  • Actively pursue the collection of bad checks, including any banking and/or legal expenses incurred.
  • Collecting all vendor invoices, entering them into accounts payable when received, and scheduling payments by the due date.
  • Ensuring all vendors are paid on time and any worthwhile discounts are applied.
  • Providing financial support to the Chief Sales Officer (CSO), Chief Operating Officer (COO), and other department heads as needed.
  • Acting as a liaison with outside accountants and contacting them as required. Collecting the necessary accounting data and deliver it to the accountants for them to prepare and complete tax forms and year-end financial statements.
  • Ensuring that all forms have been completed and all information has been sent to comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Conducting an annual audit with the insurance company, or more often as necessary, to identify and compare the current rates and needs of the company.
  • Annually review compliance with the above regulatory agencies with the CFO as applicable.
  • Bill for the assets owned by Redi Leasing. Also, make certain the amount being charged to Redi Services, LLC. is indicative of current market prices, with a specific overview of current fuel costs and pricing based on a contractual basis.
  • Other duties and tasks as may be assigned by the CFO.
  1. Experience:
A minimum of eight years of experience in accounting

Experience in the construction industry is a plus.

Required: Bachelor's degree in accounting or similar
