RPC Company is hiring: Accounting Assistant in Flower Mound

The Accounting Specialist will be responsible for performing the accounting processes. This position will perform a variety of functions for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.

· Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivables’ data.

· Prepare bills, invoices, and bank deposits.

· Verify discrepancies by and resolve clients’ billing issues.

· Enters deposits on customer accounts accurately and on a daily basis.

· Reconciliation of customer credit card payments.

· Managing accounts payable using accounting software and other programs.

· Handling accounts payable for separate entities and vendors.

· Review, code, and process invoices for payments.

· Answers phone in a courteous manner.

· Communicates and collaborates with the outside Controller.

Qualifications:

· 3+ years of proven working experience as AP/AR associate.

· Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles.

· Strong data entry skills.

· Proven knowledge of working with spreadsheets and proprietary software.

· Proficient in MS Office; experience with Google Workspace a plus!

· Experience with QuickBooks software a plus.

· Associate’s degree in finance or similar course of study required; Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This is a full-time office position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
