New York, NY Director of Programming, Brainstorm Franchise, Fortune Conferences This role will involve: Managing program development, strategy and implementation of Brainstorm events including but not limited to Brainstorm Tech Summit, Brainstorm AI San Francisco and Brainstorm AI London. Collaborating with Fortune Brainstorm’s Editorial Director to strategize and develop program direction, format, theme, and the best possible speakers. Research, writing, and becoming a content expert in all things tech, business, and AI, with a focus on Fortune 500 companies and those on their way to becoming leaders in business. Responsibilities: Work with editorial director, event co-chairs and editors to develop program direction, format, and themes and identify speaker candidates. Participate in weekly FLM update meetings and/or related meetings and calls. Schedule and direct bi-weekly (or as needed) calls with program team and co-chairs. Provide weekly program and speaker recruitment updates to FLM team for weekly updates. Prepare and/or edit relevant text and overview documents to be used in marketing materials, including program overviews, session descriptions, format descriptions, and other information required to convey program plans. Recruit and secure approved speakers and moderators (with internal support and support of co-chairs). Manage freelance program manager to assist with all sponsored content, manage all programmatic elements (video, images etc.) for sessions, briefing preparation, presentation coaching, and overall project management (in lead up, and on site). Work closely with speaker relations lead to coordinate logistical elements with speakers and prepare briefing documents (in lead up, and on site). Manage freelance scriptwriter for event scripting and approve all final scripts for mainstage and breakout sessions. Oversee the preparation and delivery of all speaker and moderating confirmation documents, including final agenda, briefings and other materials (with internal support). Oversee planning and execution of program elements on-site, at event including meeting of speakers/handlers, attending staff and/or production meetings, etc. Participate in post-event debrief meetings and strategize on how to continue to build the franchise with VP of programming and other members of leadership team. Qualifications: At least 5 years programming events, ideally in media / journalism. Ability to manage multiple complex projects at one time. Excellent communication skills; collaborative, compassionate leader with ability to work across teams. Curious, Creative and Detail-oriented individual with a passion for technology, business, and the motivation to become a content expert.
