Job Opportunity: Cost Accounting Manager
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Cost Accounting Manager to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of a growing company by leading cost accounting initiatives across multiple entities.

• Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Coordinate overarching tasks within the Cost Accounting Team across four entities.
• Establish a unified cost accounting database for streamlined operations.
• Conduct time-studies on the production floor to verify data and improve efficiency.
• Determine and maintain standard costs of manufactured goods.
• Contribute to cost-saving initiatives in the Supply Chain.
• Create and maintain reports (e.g., PPV, MSM Workbooks, overhead calculations, inventory reconciliation) to improve cost transparency and profitability.
• Advise the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) with actionable cost data insights.
• Prepare data to support CAPEX requests for both local and group-level approval.
• Collaborate closely with Procurement and Operations teams.
• Support the ERP Implementation Project .
• Assist R&D by providing costing information for new product developments.
This position requires travel between our four locations across Long Island, NY and New Jersey.
• Supervisory Responsibilities:
• Manage and support two Senior Cost Accountants through coaching and collaboration.
• Lead team development by fostering a collegial, accountable, and inclusive work environment.
• Assess staffing needs and ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Qualifications/Minimum Requirements:
The ideal candidate should possess:
• Strong communication skills: Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Interpersonal skills: Service-oriented mindset with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
• Organizational skills: High attention to detail and exceptional time management abilities.
• Leadership experience: Proven track record in leading teams, planning, and forecasting.
• Supervisory ability: Capable of guiding and delegating tasks effectively.
• Adaptability: Ability to prioritize and adjust to changing demands.
• Education & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in cost accounting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience working with ERP systems in a manufacturing environment.
