SUMMARY

The Accounting Specialist will perform a variety of accounting and clerical functions in multiple areas including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Sales, Production and Compliance.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assists with all Accounts Payable functions.
  • Processes and maintains credit card transactions and accounts including reconciling.
  • Maintains customer payment details including ACH deposits and checks.
  • Assists with all Compliance related requirements including releases.
  • Helps with collection calls as needed.
  • Helps with front desk duties and coverage.
  • Verifies prices and departmental charge distribution.
  • Reviews reports and checks for accuracy.
  • Prints reports and checks.
  • Performs data entry functions using various software and platforms.
  • Matches invoice to purchase order and/or other supporting documents
  • Maintains departmental required logs such as vehicle maintenance and miles.
  • Reviews disbursements of accounts payable checks for accuracy and account distribution.
  • Reconciles vendor differences and disputes.
  • Analyzes accounts daily to ensure that accounts are in balance, assess problems/concerns and resolves in an effective and timely manner.
  • Creating estimate numbers.
  • Populating the folder system for email bid invites.
  • Attending sales meetings to help with bid sheet organization.
  • Updating the calendar.
  • Update sales black board.
  • Additional duties to be assigned as needed.

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, SKILLS, AND/OR ABILITIES REQUIRED

Minimum Experience: 3+ years’ experience in accounting/sales related functions and duties.

Experience in construction related industry preferred.

Degree Required: High School Diploma

Salary Range: $25 to $35 hour

  • Thorough understanding of the company’s policies, procedures, systems, and objectives.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent negotiation, problem solving, presentation and leadership skills.
  • Presents a polished and professional presence and image at all times.
  • Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Experience with SAGE 300 CRE, Sage Intacct and KOJO Procurement Platform is a plus.
  • General electrical material knowledge.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with strong customer focus.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Candidate must be self-driven with the ability to work as part of a team or independent.

WORKING CONDITIONS
  • General work environment – sitting for extended periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is performed indoors with varying environmental conditions such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning.
  • The noise level is typically low.

  • Occasional lifting of up to 15 lbs.
  • Location – 100% in office.
