Red Cedar Solutions is seeking an experienced Accounting Assistant to join our team. The Accounting Assistant will be responsible for assisting with various accounting tasks, including but not limited to, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organization skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
  • Assist with payroll processing and ensure accurate and timely payments
  • Perform bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures
  • Prepare financial reports and statements
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
  • Assist with tax compliance and reporting requirements
  • Provide support to the accounting team as needed

Requirements

Requirements:

  • degree or certification in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • Prior experience in an accounting or finance role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Quickbooks, and other accounting software
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Familiarity with payroll processing and tax regulations is a plus
