Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting Manager to join the NOW CFO Columbus consulting team. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company, including managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and preparing financial reports. The successful candidate will possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate financial information.
This is a FT, Permanent, Hybrid position
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including managing the general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, and payroll.
- Ensure that financial transactions are properly recorded and accurately reflected in the financial statements.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for management review.
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Conduct regular reviews of financial data to identify and resolve discrepancies or errors.
- Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory agencies on financial audits and reporting requirements.
- Manage the budgeting process and assist in the development of financial forecasts and projections.
- Monitor the company's cash flow and liquidity position, including managing debt and credit facilities.
- Stay informed about changes in accounting standards and regulations and provide guidance to management on their impact on the company's financial operations.
- Supervise and mentor a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance and support as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. CPA certification is preferred.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance, with a proven track record of success.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP.
- Proficiency in accounting software and financial management systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve financial issues.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
