Job Summary:

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bilingual Accounting Clerk to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with day-to-day accounting operations and must be fluent in both English and Spanish This role requires strong organizational skills, a high level of accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Perform daily data entry of financial transactions and maintain accurate accounting records.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and other financial statements on a regular basis.
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Maintain vendor and customer records, ensuring that all information is up-to-date.
  • Assist in the preparation of invoices and ensure timely collection of payments.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams, clients, and vendors in both English and Spanish
  • Support the accounting team with administrative tasks and special projects as needed.
  • Assist with payroll processing and tax filings as required.
  • Respond to inquiries from customers, suppliers, and colleagues in a professional and timely manner.

Qualifications:

  • Bilingual - English and Spanish
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associates degree in accounting or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) and MS Office (especially Excel).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial record-keeping.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with basic accounting principles and practices.

Work Environment:

  • This role operates in an office environment with standard business hours.
  • Occasional overtime may be required, especially during month-end or year-end closing periods.
