In light of their ongoing expansion and client successes, our client seeks a strategic-minded leader to join their internal accounting team responsible for the strategic and tactical accounting path for the firm itself.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary liaison with senior leadership team handling all internal accounting
- Lead and oversee a team of accounting professionals to ensure the delivery of high-quality work on a daily basis.
- Prepare, review, and discuss financials on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis with leadership..
- Act as internal accounting leadership for dealing with buy-sell transactions, securing external financing, bank relationships, etc.
- Assist in the annual planning, budgeting, and forecasting process, as well as conduct monthly and quarterly reviews looking for trends, variances, etc.
- Interface with external entities such as governmental agencies, banks, legal entities, and other stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the tax team to optimize tax strategies and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of overall accounting/finance/operational leadership experience, with at least 2+ years in a similar service-related business such as another public accounting or advisory services firm, law firm, etc.
- 1+ years in a management/leadership role.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- Solid hands-on/working knowledge of QuickBooks
- Ability to manage complex, bi-monthly payroll encompassing both exempt and non-exempt personnel
- Exceptional analytical skills with a knack for solving complex problems.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, capable of managing client priorities while providing personalized attention.
