The Accounting/Bookkeeper will manage a variety of financial tasks, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of financial information. The ideal candidate will have experience in QuickBooks and a strong background in accounting practices relevant to the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update the company’s checkbooks and financial records.
- Prepare and send invoices to clients, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
- Track and categorize expenses, reconciling discrepancies as needed.
- Process payroll for employees, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Support monthly and year-end closing processes.
- Maintain organized financial files and documentation.
- Collaborate with project managers to monitor budgets and costs.
- Perform general office tasks, including filing, data entry, and correspondence.
- Proven experience as an Accountant or Bookkeeper, preferably in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Fluent in English; Spanish language skills are a plus but not required.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
