Accounting Manager Job at Magnolia Foods, Llc. in Mira Loma

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting
• Perform general ledger maintenance, journal entry review, and account reconciliations
• Coordinate with team members to reconcile accounts and prepare financial statements
• Refine and maintain effective internal controls and ensure compliance with financial regulations/policies
• Utilize ERP system to streamline accounting processes and enhance efficiency; ensure data integrity and accuracy in financial records
• Assist external auditors during annual audits, providing documentation and helping with audit inquiries
• Lead benefits audit from Company standpoint – manage various workflows and data requests to ensure timely completion
• Serve as a liaison between operations and the accounting function, helping operational leaders to understand expense variances and drive improvements
• Support Controller with cost accounting activities
• Participate in monthly physical inventory counts and ongoing inventory maintenance
• Co-manage AR function with Accounting Director to ensure timely collection of receipts
• Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis to support general business decision-making

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• CPA certification
• 2+ years of public accounting experience
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, with advanced understanding of Microsoft Excel
• Proficiency in ERP systems, preferably NetSuite
• Results-oriented mindset with a track record of meeting deadlines while prioritizing competing activities
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey financial insights to diverse stakeholders
• Strong sense of ethics and integrity in handling financial information

Compensation:

• Base compensation of $120-$135 thousand annually, dependent on relevant experience
