About the Role
We’re looking for an Accounting Associate to join the Finance Department which is responsible for data entry, accounts receivable, tracking grant spendown and processing of accounts payable. This role will support the Sr. Accountant and Administration position. With accounts receivable, account payable coding, building vendor relationships and tracking changes and office needs pertaining to office vendors. Documentation tracking and organizing; keeping all documentation paperless and uploaded to QuickBooks and or google docs for future reference. We want someone who is passionate about administration and finance, someone with a great working knowledge of QuickBooks and organization.
How You’ll Have an Impact
The applicant hired as our Accounting Associate, will be responsible for:
- Uploading accounts payable with accurate budget coding
- Process monthy reimbursement invocies, and tracking restricted funds spendown
- Maintaining organized accounting google drive folders
- Data entry of accurate invoices and payments in QuickBooks
- Remote deposits, verify and log ACH deposits from donors
- Support Accounting Department as needed
Agency Support
- Participating in agency events and activities, as requested.
- Participating in agency projects and initiatives, as requested.
- Completing all other duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For
Experience
- 1-2 years of accounting experience
- Knowledge of GAP
- Maintain confidentiality at all times
- People skills and good communication
Skills
- Knowledge of QuickBooks, Microsoft Suite, and Google Suite
- Knowledge of Ramp bill pay software is a plus
Important Details
Supervisor: Sr. Accountant and Administration
Status: Part-time, non-exempt
Location: Milpitas, California
Salary: $20.00 - $23.00/hour, based on education, experience and in accordance with Northern California Nonprofit Salary Survey

Applicants must have a valid California Driver’s License and current automobile insurance.
