We are in search of an Accounting Specialist to join our team based in Stamford, Connecticut. This role is within the industry of commodity trading and recycling, requiring a high level of precision and organization. The main tasks include managing customer accounts, maintaining customer records, and resolving customer billing inquiries. The job also involves monitoring customer accounts and taking necessary actions.


Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate record of client accounts and outstanding balances.

• Send invoices and account updates to clients electronically and on paper.

• Update our system with payment information and other financial data.

• Notify clients of upcoming or missed payment deadlines.

• Receive, sort, and track incoming payments.

• Address clients' billing questions and issues.

• Prepare reports and review billing activity for accuracy.

• Provide statistical reports on business activity and performance to stake holders.

• Manage consistent metrics for measuring and reporting for all projects within the administrative team.


What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor s degree or equivalent accounting experience.

• Experience with AR/ Billing/ Bank reconciliations.

• Strong understanding of general accounting practices

• QuickBooks / QuickBooks Online, Outlook, Word, Excel required.

• Excellent time management and organizational skills

• Detail-oriented, willing to work in a fast-paced, team atmosphere

• Comfortable receiving direction from multiple individuals.

• Full-time on-site from our office in Norwalk CT.
