Kirkwood Meadows Public Utility District is looking for an ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST

1 Salary Range: $49,161 to $61,305 Annually * Salary DOE.Full health and dental included with employer contributions to CalPERS retirement. Role Overview: The Accounting Specialist 1 will assist with accounts payable, including processing invoices, issuing payments, and reconciling accounts to ensure accurate financial records. Key Responsibilities: You will process accounts payable entries, issue payments, match invoices to checks, and reconcile vendor accounts. You'll also maintain the purchase order system, process 1099s at year-end, and assist with public inquiries. Building strong working relationships with vendors and coworkers will be key. Requirements: A high school diploma is required (Bookkeeping or Accounting certification preferred), along with one year of accounting experience (or equivalent). Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, as well as knowledge of double-entry accounting, is essential. A valid Class C driver's license and the ability to lift up to 25 lbs are also required.
