Role: Accounting/AP Specialist

Location: Houston, TX

Pay Rate: $22/hour

We are looking for an Accounting/AP Specialist on a contract-to-hire basis.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Bookkeeping and record keeping in QuickBooks; daily processing of invoices.
  • Prepare and send payments weekly.
  • Obtain department approval to pay invoices.
  • Contact vendors with questions or concerns regarding bills.
  • Maintain vendor’s file; scan and save payments.
  • Answer account and financial questions.
  • Update vendor list in QuickBooks and generate adjustments as necessary.
  • Prepare annual 1099-Form.
  • Bookkeeping AMEX and reimbursement transactions from Expensify.
  • Prepare account payable and supporting documentation for annual audits including checks, ACH, wire transfer and credit card documents.
  • Prepare accounts payable report weekly.
  • Report any misconduct, suspicious or unethical activities to the Compliance Officer.
  • Participate in surveys conducted by authorized inspection agencies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.


Requirements:

· QuickBooks software experience

· High school diploma

· 1+ years of accounting experience
