Accounting & Audit Senior

Full-Time or Part-Time (greater than 20 hours a week)

Location: Houston, Tx

Salary Range – position is ($65,000 - $90,000) plus bonus – negotiable based on experience

In office but remote work options are available on case-by-case basis

Job Description

· “In-charge” of audits, reviews, or compilations; responsible for all stages of the engagement—planning, fieldwork and wrap-up.

· Prepares financial statements and apply areas of GAAP.

· Makes suggestions to improve client processes and accounting procedures.

· Performs diversified accounting and auditing assignments under the direction of principal or partner.

· Demonstrates competency in technical skills, work quality, and application of professional and firm standards.

· Coordinate the day-to-day activities of audits, reviews, or compilations and client interactions and ensuring efficient information flow from the client

Requirements

· Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience including at least one year in a senior/in-charge role leading compilation, review and/or audit engagements

· CPA, Master’s Degree Preferred

· Experience preparing financial statements and drafting footnote disclosures.

· Proficiency with QuickBooks and CaseWare a plus, but not a necessity

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office products is a must

· Must be a team player, willing to work with/assist other members of the firm

· Effective communication skills, both written and oral
