Experienced Associate Accountants are given a wide variety of bookkeeping, accounting, and other consulting tasks.  Performance is judged on proficiency and effectiveness of task performance, including the quality of work, application of performance, accounting knowledge, the ability to meet time constraints and client service. Experienced associate accountants lead monthly accounting engagements and collaborate with clients to effectively achieve the desired outcomes. There is significant potential for advancement within our fast-growing, employee-owned firm.

 

Essential performance:

  • Managing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Reconciliations and Month-end Closing Services for multiple clients
  • Sales and Payroll Tax preparation for clients
  • Research accounting methodology
  • Manage the client relationship for multiple clients that we handle the accounting tasks for, and occasionally meet (over the phone, in person and via Zoom) to answer questions and present financial statements as needed
  • Will participate in cost report preparation and consulting analysis; training to be provided.

  • Confident in one’s abilities and able to work independently, with minimal direction
  • Willingness to learn and gain experience in multiple areas of accounting
  • Ability to elicit urgent action through persuasive, positive verbal communication
  • Ability to stay on top of a variety of commitments and deadlines

 

Qualifications:

  • 2 or 4 year degree in Accounting or related field
  • QuickBooks Online experience is preferred
  • Familiar with the following software programs: Bill.com, Gusto, ADP, Dext., Smartsheet and QuickBooks Desktop
  • Healthcare accounting industry experience is a plus but not required, including working with the software program PointclickCare, MatrixCare, etc.
