Accounting/Billing Clerk


JOB TITLE: Accounting/Billing Clerk                                    FLSA: Non-Exempt; Hourly

DEPARTMENT: Accounting                                                       STATUS: Full-time

 

The Accounting and Billing Clerk shall perform various substantive accounting/billing duties under the supervision of the Director of Finance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Complete monthly billing process for assigned attorneys
  • Responds to issues regarding billing
  • Receive, pay, and file all bills received by the Firm.
  • Provide client expenses and payment information to the Billing Specialist daily.
  • Prepare all received monies for bank deposit.
  • Process accounts payable invoices and credit card charges.
  • Process, track and follow up on payments due to the firm.
  • Support and provide back-up to the Billing Specialist and Finance Manager.
  • Perform other duties as required.


Qualifications and Skills Requirement

  • Law office experience is strongly preferred.
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED. A four-year college degree is preferred or 3+ years of experience.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Strong accounting skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).
  • Team-oriented approach.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to multi-task and work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.
