A Little Bit About the Position
Join Gemini Legal as our Accounting/Payroll Manager and be part of a dynamic team committed to excellence. In this role, you will be both performing and managing key processes including Payroll and Accounts Payable, ensuring smooth workflows, accuracy, and efficiency. You’ll mentor and guide the Finance department team while playing a strategic role in driving our financial performance. You will collaborate closely with the Director of Finance on reports, audits and managing KPIs. - Location: Hybrid-remote at our Rocklin, CA office
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm
- Compensation: $110,000-$135,000/year
- Payroll experience, including processing and managing the entire function for company with at least 100 employees - multi-state experience a big plus
- Thorough competency in accounting and month-end close, journal entry writing, account reconciliation, financial statement review and analysis
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience level, required
- 5+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounting
- 2+ years of leadership experience
- Thorough knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and procedures
- Highly proficient in using the following software applications: QuickBooks, Excel, Google Apps (Docs, Sheets, Calendar, Gmail, etc.) and Adobe Acrobat to complete assigned work
- Experience creating financial statements, reports and analyzing data, including the use of of spreadsheets and pivot tables
- Ability to work closely within a management team
- Advanced time management and organizational skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Analytical with strong critical thinking ability and attention to detail
- Ability to handle a high volume of work and function in a fast-paced environment, on deadline
- Strong self-management aptitude with the ability to conduct independent work and team collaboration
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Experience working in an office setting
- Exceptional teamwork
- Familiarity with Lean business principles, flowchart processes, and value stream mapping and understanding a plus
Functional Requirements
Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodation, including, but not limited to:
