Duncan-Parnell is seeking qualified candidates for spring 2025 finance/accounting/purchasing internships. This is an opportunity for someone with an interest in learning more about the financial processes of a mid-market distribution business. The internship will be project focused with the opportunity to participate in the purchase order process, month-end close, inventory management, report creation, and assisting in the transition to new technologies.
Essential Functions and Duties
- General Function
- Fixed asset listing maintenance
- Sales tax exemption certificate retention program
- Accounts payable invoice entry (purchase orders, requisitions, and expenditures)
- Document retention program
- Check run assistance (pulling backup and assisting with distribution)
- ERP system maintenance related to Items and Suppliers
- Open Purchase Order, Pick Ticket, and Transfer Reporting
- Item pricing updates in ERP system
- Customer special pricing structure maintenance
- Other
- Other projects as requested by the CFO/Controller/Supply Chain Manager

Education & Experience
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
