MAU is hiring an Accounting and Business Process Specialist for our client in Greer, SC. As an Accounting and Business Process Specialist, you will coordinate projects related to accounting and compliance, assist in financial process reviews, and ensure accounting practices align with IFRS and company guidelines. You will also review internal controls to optimize process efficiency. This is a contract, long-term assignment. Fluency in German is preferred. Benefits Package 401k matching Life insurance Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Short term disability Long term disability Paid time off Health savings account Uniform allowance Shift Information Monday to Friday | 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Required Education and Experience BA/BS degree in Accounting or Finance - required 5 years of accounting experience - required Proficient in SAP (FI, CO, and MM modules) - preferred Manufacturing experience - preferred Fluency in German - preferred General Requirements Basic knowledge of databases, operating systems, and IT infrastructure In-depth knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS accounting principles and internal control requirements Strong ability to analyze financial data and interpret results Expert project management and organizational skills Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially MS Access and Excel Self-starter with minimal supervision and strong problem-solving abilities Exceptional presentation and communication skills Advanced process analysis and strategic thinking capabilities Expert in general ledger management and account maintenance Proficient in SAP, particularly in FI, CO, MM, and SD modules Ability to drive process improvements and set clear direction Strong talent development and collaborative team-building skills Results-oriented communicator focused on customer needs Demonstrated ability to adapt to change with integrity and focus on business goals Essential Functions Coordinate departmental project efforts, including scheduling, participant agreements, testing, documentation, user training, and progress reporting Manage projects as directed by management, covering planning, concept development, implementation, documentation, testing, and training Represent the department in cross-functional projects, aligning project needs with stakeholders in other departments Ensure accounting practices and reporting comply with IFRS principles and company guidelines Oversee the segregation of duties using system monitoring tools (BizRights APPROVA), negotiating changes and mitigations with departments to maintain control Develop and maintain Internal Control System (ICS) documentation, evaluate control effectiveness, and recommend improvements, coordinating ICS activities with company leadership Manage internal audit responses in collaboration with relevant departments Assist in coordinating financial audits Travel Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required for projects, meetings, and training
